Location: Roseau

Shift: Primarily day. Evening as needed for coverage

Schedule: M-F. Rotating weekend and holiday coverage

Hours: 40/wk FTE: 1.0

Pay Range: $19.25-$25.02, plus evening/weekend differentials

What You’ll Get To Do In This Role

• Greets and guides patients and visitors to their destinations with a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
• Registers patients with correct patient identity and accurate information within the electronic record system (Epic).
• Verifies insurance coverage.
• Schedules appointments and checks in appointments.
• Obtains patient consent for treatment.
• Scans consent forms, EKGs and other documents as requested into Epic.
• Completes missing account information through assigned work queues.
• Works closely with other departments to ensure patients are receiving services (ED Nursing, Lab, Imaging).
• Maintains patient and visitor access through the Emergency Department entrance during the night (11pm-7am Shift).
• Cleans Admitting work area and adjacent public areas when needed.

Qualifications

• Education in the medical field, medical office assistant certification, or medical terminology experience in patient access role preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
