About the role
This is an on-site position in Phoenix, AZ, responsible for coordinating pathology reports, managing work queues, and ensuring timely case distribution and follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Assign and distribute cases
- Monitor and manage work queues
- Coordinate consults and send-outs
- Process internal test add-ons and liaise with labs
- Research, troubleshoot, and follow up on client inquiries and problems
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two or more years of administrative experience (e.g., office coordination, scheduling, recordkeeping)
- Comfortability with handling biological specimens
- Able to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet turn-around times
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
- One or more years of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory
- Two or more years of experience in the healthcare industry (e.g., physician’s office, clinic, or hospital)
Schedule
- Tuesday–Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Required overtime as needed
