Pathology - Cytopathology Physician

About the role

We are seeking Cytopathologists to diagnose diseases using laboratory techniques from Fine Needle Aspirations and Non-Gynecological specimens.

Responsibilities

• Microscopic examination of tissue sections, smears, and Thin Prep cytospins
• Identifying etiology, morphological changes, and clinical significance
• Providing diagnostic reports and consulting with physicians
• Participating in proficiency testing, meetings, and continuing education
• Training laboratory personnel, students, and residents
• Taking photomicrographs and consulting on difficult cases
• Testifying as an expert witness if required
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with regulations
• Active involvement in laboratory operations, quality management, and professional development

Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year residency in pathology
• Board certification in anatomic pathology and cytopathology
• Active medical license
• Ability to meet physical demands
