About the role

The Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a transfusion medicine fellowship trained candidate with other interests or trainings in other areas of clinical pathology or anatomic pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the educational, scholarly, and translational research activities of the department.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide transfusion services.

Requirements

  • MD or DO; pathology AP/CP or CP training, and transfusion medicine fellowship training;
  • Eligible for or having Texas medical license.

Qualifications

  • Strong training in transfusion medicine.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Summary

The ideal candidate must have strong training in transfusion medicine and a proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, will be expected to contribute to the educational, scholarly, and translational research activities of the department, and should be eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor or higher rank.
