Essential Job Functions
- Provide clinical Anatomic Pathology services with a primary focus in Neuropathology and Autopsy.
- Serve as Director of the Institutional Biorepository and Research Histology service.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Moody Brain Health Institute and the Mitchell Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in support of the Institutional Brain Bank and interdisciplinary research programs in Neurological diseases.
- Teach and mentor Pathology residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Participate in intra- and inter-departmental conferences.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at regional, national, and international meetings.
- Contribute to the department and institution's mission through participation in departmental and institutional committees, and other service and administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or MD, PhD Fellowship-trained and board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic and Neuropathology or equivalent experience.
Prior to Appointment
- Active participation in intra- and inter-departmental conferences will be required.
- Meaningful engagement in the advancement of scholarly activities, including research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at regional, national, and international meetings.
- Contribute to the department and institution's mission through participation in departmental and institutional committees, and other service and administrative duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with established independent research programs are encouraged to apply.
- Interest and expertise in neurodegenerative diseases is desirable.
Salary
Commensurate with experience.
