Responsibilities
- Draft, file, and prosecute US patent applications
- Manage and coordinate international patent application strategies
- Prepare patentability, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions
- Provide overall intellectual property counseling
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Admitted to the Bar in the jurisdiction where applying
- In good standing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Undergraduate degree and preferably an advanced degree in chemistry or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- At least three years of experience practicing patent law
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex matters
- Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Judgment and the ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to work well under pressure
Pay
The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $240,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
