Patent Agent or Attorney - Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and prosecute US patent applications
• Manage and coordinate international patent application strategies
• Prepare patentability, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions
• Provide overall intellectual property counseling

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Admitted to the Bar in the jurisdiction where applying
• In good standing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Undergraduate degree and preferably an advanced degree in chemistry or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• At least three years of experience practicing patent law
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex matters
• Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Judgment and the ability to prioritize workload
• Ability to work well under pressure

Pay

The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $240,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
