Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator

About the role

We are seeking a professional, self-motivated, skilled cake decorator/bakery assistant to create dream wedding cakes for our Brides in a fun working environment. This is a part-time position only, with a schedule that fluctuates in line with the wedding season. Normal bakery operating hours are 7am-3pm, with weekend availability required for deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for baking cakes, desserts and cake decorating
• Familiar with basic textures such as stone, horizontal, stucco, wedding dots and palette
• Working knowledge of food coloring, fondant, edible images, and cake design

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cake decorating experience
• ServSafe Food Handlers or equivalent certification
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record

Pay

$15-$18 per hour, with the opportunity for advancement
