Pastry Chef/Decorator

Part-time, hourly position with a pay range of $15–$18 per hour.

About the role

Walters Wedding Estates, a Walters Hospitality brand, is seeking a professional, self-motivated Bakery Assistant / Cake Decorator to create dream wedding cakes in a fun working environment. The schedule fluctuates with wedding season demand; weekend availability is required for deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Bake cakes and desserts
• Decorate cakes using techniques such as stone, horizontal, stucco, wedding dots, and palette textures
• Work with food coloring, fondant, edible images, and cake design

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (culinary degree preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of cake decorating experience
• ServSafe Food Handlers certification or equivalent
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Eligible to work in the United States; background check required
