This role is not just limited to pastry, but also involves working the line at breakfast and dinner throughout the week, picking up prep work, and making staff meals. All guest meals are set and consider allergies and diets.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a pastry chef
  • Working knowledge of seasonal ingredients
  • Quick thinking and adaptability
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong knife skills
  • Positive attitude
  • 1 year minimum commitment

Compensation

Salaried, $35,568* - $50,000

  • Furnished private room in shared housing about 3 miles from the inn
  • Shared bathroom with one other person
  • WiFi, utilities, mainland parking, transportation to and from employee housing
  • Three meals a day plus basic groceries
  • Two weeks paid vacation after one year of employment
  • Medical and dental after 90 days

$35,568* - $50,000

Schedule

Live-in position with 3 round trips on and off the island daily
