Pastry Chef

About the role

Trinity Terrace, Fort Worth’s premier upscale senior living community, is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Pastry Chef or equivalent roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of culinary professionals and oversee all bakery and pastry activities for the fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and other areas of the culinary program.
• Ensure the provision of high-quality pastries and desserts that meet the culinary standards of the community.
• Develop and maintain standardized recipes for various pastries and desserts.
• Manage the production of cakes, pies, tarts, chocolate work, and other specialty items.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of a la carte desserts and quick breads.
• Contribute to the development and execution of special events and catering services.
• Provide strong, effective leadership to the pastry team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Pastry Chef or equivalent roles.
• Prior experience in and the ability to help others develop their potential through strong, effective leadership.
• Strong skills in cake production and decorating, pies, tarts, chocolate work, upscale a la carte dessert production, quick breads, breakfast pastries, display pieces, and writing standardized recipes.

Qualifications

• A valid Food Handlers card is required.
• A ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus.
