About the role

The role is responsible for managing the culinary department on board the ship.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
  • Manage staff in the kitchen to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of managing a team effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Experience with food safety regulations and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handlers' Permit.
  • Knowledge of international cuisine and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control.

$100,000 - $120,000 annually.
