Pasting Operator

About the role

Trojan Battery Company is looking for a driven and thorough person for the Pasting Operator role. Your role as the Pasting Operator (2nd shift) will include applying the appropriate paste to grids, creating plates that help our world-class batteries hold their charge. You will be loading raw materials into machines, manually on/off bearing materials from/to machines and perform visual inspections for quality and quantity.

Requirements

• Commitment to performing your role safely
• Wear all required PPE, including a respirator
• Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant
• Ability to work in extreme temperature and heavy environment (a plus)
• Clean shaven
• Follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site
• Able to lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
• Able to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
• Strong team skills
• Able to solve problems and recommend solutions
• Able to complete any required documentation
• Dedicated with a proven record of excellent attendance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or greater required
• 2-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
