Parts Supervisor
About the role
The Parts Supervisor oversees the efficient and safe operation of warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory management, and order filling. Key responsibilities include leading, motivating, and training warehouse team members, managing inventory, coordinating annual physical inventory counts, supervising team members, and communicating with customers and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage parts counter team members and their activity, including recruiting, hiring, terminating, reviewing performance and coaching team members.
- Manage warehouse team members and their activity, including recruiting, hiring, terminating, reviewing performance and coaching team members.
- Manage inventory to provide more efficient warehouse flow and ensure accurate receiving and order filling processes.
- Supervise and coordinate annual physical inventory counting and recording.
- Maintain accurate time records for team members.
- Lead safety excellence and overall compliance in the warehouse.
- Implement business strategies and evaluate short and long-term objectives for the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Aid in the development of the budget and analyze expenditures to meet budget goals.
- Communicate with customers and other departments to resolve issues and expedite deliveries.

- Manage productive home team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; 4+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Qualifications
