Parts Supervisor

Knowledge and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Requirements

• 2+ Years of proven parts management experience
• Exceptional customer service and follow-up
• Valid Driver’s License
• Automotive, medium/heavy duty truck and sanitation truck parts experience a plus
• Prior management and/or supervisory experience preferred
• Prior parts experience with heavy equipment preferred

Key Accountabilities

• Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective PartsStocks inventory at appropriate levels while maintaining appropriate services to shop operations
• Prepares and conducts physical inventories quarterly
• Provides reports and computer-generated reports as necessary
• Maintains an effective parts catalog system
• Develops relationships with key vendors
• Reviews purchase orders
• Prepares invoices for AP department by coding invoices with correct account code number
• Evaluates inventory records
• Maintains records and prepares required reports relevant to the operations of all parts departments
• Provides technical assistance to parts department employees
• Conducts meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation
• Maintains inventory to minimize obsolescence
