About the role

The Parts Specialist Counter will be responsible for excellent customer service, prioritizing optimal customer care and concern. This position involves tasks at the parts counter, including receiving parts calls, assisting walk-in customers, processing paperwork accurately, and handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Warehouse duties include accurate counting, receiving and shipping parts, stock management, warranty item accounting, and building hoses. The role also requires contamination control and a strong emphasis on safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the parts counter
• Receive parts calls and assist walk-in customers
• Process paperwork accurately, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Perform warehouse duties: counting, receiving, and shipping parts
• Manage stock and account for warranty items
• Build hoses and maintain contamination control
• Prioritize safety in all tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One or more years of warehouse and inventory experience, including some in a mechanical parts environment
• Knowledge and experience with CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts preferred

Skills

• Highly motivated and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and general computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs; pulling up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and accessing machines
• Dexterity for repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements
• Noise levels vary: quiet in office settings, moderate to loud in other areas, with potential for sudden loud noises
