About the Role
The Parts Manager is responsible for leading all parts department operations, managing inventory, staffing, vendor relationships, and daily workflow to support a high-performing service and wholesale operation. This role drives profitability, develops the wholesale parts business, and builds a capable, accountable team.
Responsibilities
- Lead all parts department operations, including inventory, staffing, vendor relationships, and daily workflow.
- Drive parts department profitability by owning gross profit, fill rates, inventory turn, and obsolescence control.
- Develop and manage the wholesale parts business, building and maintaining relationships with independent repair shops, body shops, and fleet accounts across the Silicon Valley market.
- Develop and hold accountable a parts team, fostering capability, accuracy, and a culture of consistent execution at the counter and in the warehouse.
- Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective action proactively when results drift from target.
- Manage Audi OEM parts programs, warranty parts processes, and manufacturer return procedures with full compliance.
- Build and maintain strong vendor and OEM relationships to optimize parts availability and program participation.
- Partner with service management to align parts supply with service demand, minimizing delays and keeping technicians productive.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, cycle counts, and bin organization standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of parts manager experience in a franchised dealership (Audi, European, or luxury brand experience strongly preferred).
- Strong command of parts department financials, including fill rate, gross profit, inventory turn, and obsolescence management.
- Wholesale parts experience is a significant plus, given Silicon Valley’s density of independent shops and body shops.
- Deep familiarity with OEM parts systems (ETKA or equivalent Audi/VW Group parts platform experience preferred).
- Proven ability to develop and lead a parts team.
- Process-oriented with strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Comfortable with DMS platforms (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred).
- Clear communicator who works effectively with service managers, advisors, technicians, and wholesale accounts.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay
$80,000 - $120,000 per year.
