Essential Functions
- Review stock orders, Toyota, Wholesale, Forks, Tires and miscellaneous orders.
- Performance Metrics - meet forecasts, goals, and objectives of the department (sales, gross profit, net profit, inventory level, inventory turns)
- Hire, train, and motivate parts staff; conduct annual reviews.
- Review emergency and breakdown orders.
- Review the sourcing, freight recovery, branch transfer, receiving, and pricing on customer orders.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with all internal department managers and with all customers.
- Remove aged inventory from vans, transferring items to branches with stocking sales, vendor returns, annual vendor returns and write off obsolete inventory items.
- Affordably manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and van inventory, sales, warehousing, shipping & receiving, and training in the parts department.
- Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ Parts Management experience preferably in material handling, industrial equipment, or automotive industry.
- MS Navision experience preferred.
- Customer focused selling and relationship building required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to details.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Physical Demands And Working Conditions
- Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously).
- Frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement.
- Occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.
- Work indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
