About the role
Merit Chevrolet Co. is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join their team in St Paul, MN. The Parts Manager oversees the parts department to ensure efficient operations, maintains inventory accuracy, and provides excellent customer service to support the dealership's success.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control and parts ordering.
- Lead and supervise parts staff, providing training and guidance to enhance performance.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate parts availability to support service and sales departments.
- Analyze sales and inventory data to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Prepare and manage department budgets and financial reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar automotive parts role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
