Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees follow assigned work schedules and adhere to absenteeism, reporting, and tardiness policies.
  • Forecast and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service, assisting with necessary information.
  • Supervise stock order procedures, ensuring correct inventory placement and maintaining a balanced stock level.
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the appropriate sources and update the computer system.
  • Enforce safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory, handle obsolescence, and maintain quantities.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of related experience in an automotive parts management position, or two or more years of managing large wholesale operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a process-driven environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license in the applicable state and a good driving record.
