Parts Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory based on demand and cost targets.
• Record and analyze the movement of parts using stock-control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
• Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure parts are delivered to technicians in a timely manner.
• Hire, train, and monitor parts department staff.
• Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department.
• Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments.
• Create pricing guidelines for customer categories.
• Monitor and adjust inventory.
• Guarantee all parts are properly tagged.
• Supervise stock order procedures.
• Enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with auto parts sales, required.
• Previous leadership experience.
• The ability to lift occasionally 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Automotive & Technical knowledge is required.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organized and friendly personality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage others.
• Time management skills.
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Team oriented and self-motivated.
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
