General Responsibilities
- Takes an active role in providing a safe and healthy work environment within the department and store.
- Develops business plans and departmental goals which promote growth and provide an opportunity for the department to stretch beyond the status quo.
- Maintains close cooperation and communication with Service and Sales departments regarding their needs in order to maximize parts availability.
- Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work environment which follow Caterpillar’s contamination control procedures.
- Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of Butler.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by Store Manager to include special projects and in-store and related to corporate initiatives.
- Performs duties required of all hourly classifications to include counter, customer, and warehouse operations along with department management responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience or leadership training preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in customer relations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, analytical mindset and proven decision maker.
- Preference for operational knowledge of practices and procedures normally obtained through 5-7 years’ experience in parts department, warehousing, or purchasing position.
- Solid computer competencies.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
- Must have strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
