Parts Foreman
About the role
The Parts Foreman is the heart of operations, responsible for maintaining the shop's inventory of machine parts. This position is ideal for those with a background in vehicle repair or those seeking their first job in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate inventory to allow the shop to perform necessary repairs to our fleet.
- Effectively communicate with internal supply chain, vendors, and freight carriers.
- Maintain purchase orders, pay bills, and reconcile issues.
- Audit inventory levels, reduce obsolete inventory, and return unused parts.
- Willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer-savvy.
- Forklift certified.
- Excellent communication skills.
