About the role
ElectriCom and Isbell Construction are part of a unified team delivering reliable telecommunications and utility infrastructure across the United States. We are seeking a Foreman to lead a 3–5 person crew on telecommunications and utility construction projects.
This working foreman role provides on-site leadership while performing hands-on tasks including equipment operation, trenching, installation, and site preparation. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, and travel to job sites—including overnight out-of-town assignments—is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead a 3–5 person crew on aerial and underground fiber-construction projects
- Maintain a safe job site and ensure crew compliance with safety procedures
- Plan and schedule daily work to meet production goals
- Perform hands-on tasks alongside the crew
- Conduct job-site and equipment inspections
- Communicate project expectations and progress with management and customers
- Support a team-oriented work environment and encourage crew development and growth
- Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions
- Travel to job sites, including overnight out-of-town assignments; overtime may be required
- Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed
Requirements
- Experience as a Foreman in telecom, utility, or construction
- 3–5+ years of industry experience
- Strong understanding of job-site safety practices and utility-location awareness
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and job specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to direct and motivate a crew
- Proficiency operating heavy equipment
- Willingness to perform labor tasks when equipment operation is not required
- Ability to adapt, solve problems in the field, and support continuous improvement within the crew
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed
