About the role
Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to fill openings in our Parts Department team. The Parts Counterperson will be the primary point of contact between customers and the Parts Department. Ideal candidates will have some prior experience in a retail, customer-facing role; Parts Department experience in a dealership is a plus. Good communication skills and patience are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing all parts orders
- Understanding and controlling parts inventory
- Creating bin locations for new stock
- Notifying customers on parts arrival, shortages, and damage discrepancies
- Processing accessories and shelving them
- Preparing items for returns and shipping
- Separating orders for each dealership
- Delivering parts to a second location
- Keeping things in a neat and orderly fashion
- Following all company safety policies and procedures
- Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry
