Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Department in identifying, acquiring, and invoicing all parts to work orders.
- Greet all customers in the showroom and answer phones in a timely fashion.
- Look up parts via supplied computer programs.
- Support the parts procurement, stocking, and delivery needs of the Service Departments.
- Handle cash payments and returns per cash policies.
- Maintain all action pending reports and outstanding backorders.
- Help resolve any customer issues or concerns.
- Be able and willing to perform any warehouse duties as required.
- Assemble hydraulic hoses.
- Work onsite with a customer to expedite Caterpillar and other OEM orders as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Promote safety through own work habits and report any conditions that do not meet OSHA standards.
- Exhibit a "Customer First!" attitude at all times, treating all customers equally.
- Take ownership of situations; do not pass customers to other employees.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance; profanity will not be tolerated.
- Answer telephone with politeness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in a parts environment.
- Must be familiar with identifying and sourcing parts on a daily basis.
- Ability to assist service shop with replacement parts that are comparable to OEM supplied components.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
