About the Role
The Parts Counter Person is knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. They locate automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, or other dealerships) and arrange delivery and installation. This role also involves receiving and stocking incoming parts, as well as performing warehouse housekeeping duties.
The ideal candidate has previous experience with automotive parts and accessories, a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock incoming parts and accessories
- Locate parts and accessories and arrange for installation
- Monitor parts inventory and arrange for installation as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, and promotions
- Maintain accurate sales documentation
- Provide timely and accurate reports as required
- Ensure safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership while following all company procedures and standards
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
