Responsibilities
- Oversee parts rooms including cleanliness, organization, and reduction of non-utilized parts
- Maintain and organize parts inventory and shop supplies for stocked items
- Send out and receive freight in
- Check in and receive orders into computer database including scanning packing slips
- Work with outside vendors for stocking orders for the shop
- Pickup/deliver parts as needed
- Pickup/deliver vehicles to outside vendors for repairs as needed
- Restock service lube truck with oil, filters, and coolant
- Organize and clean the shop and yard around the outside of the shop
- Communicate directly with the shop manager daily
- Perform a variety of other tasks as directed
- Willing to learn how to safely operate small forklift to load and unload freight (forklift training provided)
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with office equipment
- Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of team members and vendors required
- Experience or knowledge of equipment maintenance strategies and parts procurement or parts inventory is a plus
