PARTS COUNTER

About the role

Fitzgerald Auto Mall is looking to hire an experienced Parts Counter Representative. This position offers a clean, organized, and structured work environment with excellent compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary
• Notify the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received
• Follow up on back-ordered parts
• Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up
• Verify will-call and back order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required
• Pull and fill orders from stock

Requirements

• Previous automotive parts counter experience is required
• Clean and valid driver's license (position includes occasional parts driving)
• Superior communication skills
• Proven record of teamwork
• Excellent customer service skills
• Documented track record of high performance
• History of strong customer satisfaction scores
• Ability to be trained on OEM process and procedure
