About the role
Fuel is looking for an enthusiastic Parts and Accessories employee to join our team. Applicants interface with customers directly (walk-in, telephone, online) to help determine their needs and supply them accordingly. Additionally, engage with the sales and service department to ensure those parts and accessories needs are met promptly and timely for our customers. This role is ideal for someone currently employed at an auto dealership or big-box retailer (AutoZone, O'Reilly, NAPA, Advanced Auto Parts) or for a powersports fanatic with excellent customer service skills.
Work days: Tuesday–Saturday, with two consecutive days off per week.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Share knowledge of "Good, Better, and Best" products with customers.
- Stay up-to-date with powersports gear brands and product knowledge.
- Maintain and deliver exceptional, personal, and useful support to potential or existing customers.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with their buying experience.
- Recommend related parts that may be required.
- Attempt to locate rare parts.
- Assist multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining individual satisfaction.
- Handle online and telephone transactions quickly and courteously.
- Alert customers of sales, specials, or new merchandise.
- Accept payments for merchandise and maintain cash register accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Outgoing, friendly personality with superior communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the powersports industry is a plus.
- Ability to connect with customers in a friendly manner.
- Confidence in answering calls and entering orders into a computer system.
- Ability to guide customers toward informed buying decisions.
- Positive attitude and genuine team-player mentality.
- Takes ownership of the customer’s experience to leave a positive impression.
- Willingness to work Saturdays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
