Responsibilities
- Call on physicians, nurses, financial counselors, and practice directors to effectively deliver the SMP value proposition and grow sales.
- Organize the territory to ensure appropriate reach and frequency on identified targets.
- Build key customer relationships, identify individual needs, and create account plans that satisfy identified key drivers.
- Effectively communicate how SMP Pharmacy services, support, and resources meet the needs of fertility healthcare providers and their patients.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and business objectives.
- Understand our product portfolio and how to position it with customers.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills that deliver solutions and drive increased sales.
- Regularly update customer profiles, your activity, and key learnings in your CRM.
- Efficiently manage the territory travel and expense (T&E) budget.
- Work in partnership with SMP leadership, your internal support team, and manufacturer partners to ensure we serve our customers at the highest level.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with the fertility community through live and online channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in healthcare sales with a proven track record of success. Reproductive health experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting toward meeting established objectives.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Address customer issues creatively to improve performance and strengthen relationships.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with clinic staff at all levels, demonstrating awareness of their needs and responding with appropriate action.
- Highly effective organizational skills to manage a large geography and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and virtual presentations.
