Partner Track Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are a local full service CPA with several locations in CT and looking for an Experienced Sr Tax Manager to help grow our Stamford office. This is succession planning. We have a Partner retiring within the next 1-2 years and are looking for someone to takeover!

Responsibilities

• Oversee the client experience including deadline management and client expectations
• Calculate tax effects of transactions, conduct technical tax research and manager tax partner expectations
• Handle billing/wip management, review returns and manage tax workflow
• Cook up coordination of multiple team engagements, deadlines and schedules
• Help develop Senior and Staff accountants both technically and professionally
• Build strong relationships and interact regularly with clients
• Help and build relationships with clients, monitor client service and value proposition, act as a trusted advisor to ensure we are a premium provider

Requirements

• At least 12 years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation
• Ideally already in the senior manager position, but experienced Tax Managers are encouraged to apply
• Experienced with both Individual and Business tax
• HNWI experience is PLUS
• Other Gift/Trust/Estate experience is a PLUS
• Proven experience managing teams/engagements
• Experience with business development is a HUGE PLUS
• CPA license
• M.S. in Taxation is preferred
