Partner Engagement Lead, Stand Together Ventures (Development and Fundraising)
Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of the country’s biggest problems—from education and the economy to broken communities and toxic division. We provide partners with funding, thought leadership, a peer network, and a proven playbook for transforming lives and society. Partners are co‑investors in transformation, moving beyond financial contributions to actively shape solutions, bring expertise, networks, judgment, and investments to the initiatives they believe in.
About the role
The Partner Engagement Lead will build and run the engine that makes transformation happen. This relationship‑intensive role balances strategy and execution of programming, applying Principled Entrepreneurship to determine the highest‑value path forward. Success is measured by mutual benefit: every partner relationship must create real value for both the partner and the mission.
Responsibilities
- Design and run recruitment and onboarding processes for a high‑value, low‑volume group of partners, identifying genuine “high potential” signals rather than surface‑level markers.
- Build referral pathways that work because partners are proud to bring people in, turning advocacy into a natural byproduct of a great partner experience.
- Match partners’ expertise and interests to initiatives—including those not originally designed with them in mind—creating tailor‑made engagement.
- Build concrete feedback processes that keep a partner’s engagement active and consistent over time.
- Design events, salons, and working groups where value comes from peer‑to‑peer connection rather than top‑down content delivery.
- Structure engagements for busy, high‑agency individuals so they lead the conversation rather than simply attend.
- Build and execute 12–24‑month plans, setting cadences and holding yourself and others accountable.
Qualifications
- Deep alignment with the Principles of Human Progress—especially self‑actualization, mutual benefit, and bottom‑up change.
- Enthusiasm for Stand Together’s vision and principled approach, and a commitment to stewarding a culture of transformation, innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
- Proven track record building and running high‑touch relationship programs (e.g., major donors, LPs, board members, or comparable high‑value, low‑volume groups).
- Experience designing group experiences (events, salons, cohorts) where peer dynamics—not content delivery—create value.
- Comfort working across functions with people who don’t share your incentives, and a history of finding real common ground rather than surface‑level compromise.
- Habit of inviting challenge to your own thinking before it becomes expensive to change.
- Directness and humility when something hasn’t worked, both with leadership and with those affected.
Compensation
Anticipated base salary range: $150,000 – $225,000 per year. Additional bonus earnings may represent a meaningful portion of total compensation. Total compensation aligns with the employee’s overall contribution and the value created for the organization, following Stand Together’s Principles‑Based Management™ compensation philosophy.
