Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor high automated machinery involved in the wet conditioning of wood chips for particleboard production.
  • Follow all Safety Rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline production process and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the wet conditioning process to ensure that wood chips meet the required quality specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the production area.
  • Engage in training sessions and workshops to develop skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience in clear communication.
  • Understanding and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and ability to learn.
  • Experience with tools and machinery.
  • Demonstrate ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Work efficiently and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, additional education a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License.

About the Role

EGGER Wood Products is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Particleboard Pre-Production Operator at our particleboard production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the process of preparing wood chips in a wet state for the production of particleboard, utilizing recycled wood materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to upholding safety and quality standards. Schedule

Schedule: 12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.
Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time up to 12-hours. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment. Tolerate indoor and outdoor environments and extreme temperatures.
