Part Time - Youth Soccer Coach (Barrington/Hoffman Estates, IL)

About the role

SOCCER STARS is the country's largest and most popular soccer development program for children between the ages of 1-7. This role plays a key role in positively impacting children within the community by nurturing self-confidence, encouraging growth, and creating small moments that make a big impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist classes in a structured environment for children 1-7+ years old
• Navigate varying ages and abilities
• Use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment
• Teach the curriculum to properly teach to each developmental stage
• Use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success

Requirements

• Genuinely love being around children
• Confident in your ability to teach games and skills in a fun and quirky manner
• Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality
• No previous knowledge or experience with soccer is required

The Position

Our Coaches use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment. They learn the curriculum to properly teach to each developmental stage, use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success, and have a blast while doing so. They are open-minded, know that coaching is a continuous journey, and strive to be better by attending regular trainings and following the Soccer Stars Coaching Manuals.

Schedule

Variety of shifts available including:

• Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (actual times of classes will vary)
• Saturday and Sunday 8:30am - 12:30pm (actual time of classes will vary)

Note that this position is for a long-term commitment, not just an engagement over the summer. College students are welcome to apply but must be based locally and commit to regular hours during the school year.
