About the role

Soccer Stars is a leading soccer development program for children aged 1-7. We aim to educate and inspire the next generation of soccer players through our dynamic and creative curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach soccer skills and games in a structured, fun, and stress-free environment.
  • Nurture self-confidence and encourage growth in young children.
  • Create small moments that make a big impact both on and off the field.
  • Adapt to varying ages and abilities, and lead or assist classes.
  • Use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate their successes.

Requirements

  • Genuinely love being around children and possess a confident teaching style.
  • Have a friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality.
  • Experience or comfort in a childcare or preschool environment is preferred, especially in Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.

Qualifications

  • No prior soccer experience is necessary; what matters is a comfort level with working with young children.

Skills

  • Positive reinforcement and encouragement skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups and abilities.

Pay

  • $17 per hour for training hours.
  • $18-25 per hour coaching.
  • Pay range is contingent on childcare experience and qualifications; range of 5 - 15 hrs. per week.

Schedule

  • Variety of shifts available, including:
  • Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (actual times of classes will vary)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am - 12:30pm (actual time of classes will vary)

Note

  • This position requires a long-term commitment, not just an engagement over the summer.
  • College students are welcome to apply but must be based locally and commit to regular hours during the school year.
