Part-Time Youth Pastor
Job Summary
The West Side Brethren in Christ Church seeks a dynamic Youth Pastor to lead and expand the youth program. The ideal candidate should have exceptional people skills, be able to relate to youth and adults, and have a vision for church influence in the community.
About the Role
The Youth Pastor will oversee all youth activities, including the Wednesday evening Youth meeting. They will be responsible for creating an environment to build trust and relationships, fostering discussions on real-life situations, emphasizing Biblical solutions, and encouraging participation in mission projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all youth activities
- Create an environment for trust and relationships
- Foster discussions on real-life situations
- Emphasize Biblical solutions to real life problems
- Challenge youth to grow spiritually
- Plan social events for enjoyment and building relationships
- Prepare youth to become church leaders
- Incorporate youth into the general life of the church
- Expand church influence in the adjacent communities
Requirements
- Dynamic personality with a heart for youth
- Experience in youth ministry preferred, but not required
- College or Bible college degree or courses are an added benefit
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to outreach and growth
- Ability to become a member of the West Side Church
- Accountable to the Church Board through the Sr. Pastor
- Attend but not vote at Church Board meetings
- Meet with the Sr. Pastor on a regular basis
