Church Overview
Five Forks is a multi-generational church with a strong emphasis on community and family within our walls and are actively involved in the communities of southern Franklin County, PA.
Responsibilities
- Connect with middle and high school students at the church, at events, etc.
- Attend school programs and extra-curricular activities that students are involved in
- Take advantage of opportunities to connect with students outside of the church as well (attending school programs and extra-curricular activities students are involved in)
- Teach the youth on a regular basis
- Recruit and provide curriculum for youth leaders who help to teach
- Promote Sunday School and Sunday Evening Youth Group within the church and community
- Form a Mission Leadership Team and establish goals for missions and cross-cultural opportunities
- Carefully select mission organizations to partner with, choose destinations and activities; provide team training, oversee fundraising and promotion for support
- Establish goals in regards to frequency and type of activities (Worship, Service, and Fellowship) and promote them within the church and community (Example: Annual Spring Weekend Retreat)
- Organize logistics, make reservations, oversee and track payments and arrange for financial assistance when applicable
- Recruit helpers, drivers (vehicles and bus)
- Ensure that permission slips are distributed and collected
- Provide opportunities for youth to lead worship
- Recruit leaders to help facilitate youth worship team practices, or lead it yourself
- Form a Leadership Team, call and lead occasional meetings to help establish goals for the team and make clear plans for future activities and lessons
- Identify, recruit and develop youth leaders
- Oversee youth spending plan

- Embody an attitude of servanthood as modeled by Jesus (Matthew 20:26-28)
- Possess the strong character required for Church leadership: Respectful, Humble, the Fruit of the Spirit, etc. (Philippians 2:3, Galatians 5:22-23)
- Highly relational – relational driven over program driven
- Self-Starter – able to work independently and complete tasks without monitoring
- Good communication – written and verbal
- Administrative capabilities
