Part-Time Water Sample Collector

About the role

Phigenics is seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule who is interested in working 30-40 hours on average per month, DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, in the St. Louis, MO metro area. We will train the right person to take on-site readings via a testing instrument (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings) and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures. Travel within a 100-mile radius is expected on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Take on-site readings via a testing instrument (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings)
• Collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures
• Work independently with self-motivation
• Communicate effectively
• Use basic computer skills
• Walk around client sites
• Climb stairs or ladders (occasionally)
• Lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally)
• Mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some college courses in Chemistry or Biology (a plus)
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for at least two years

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Excellent communication abilities
• Basic computer skills

• Ability to walk around client sites
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders (occasionally)
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally)
