Part-Time Water Sample Collector

Phigenics provides independent expert guidance and advanced technologies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall safety of water systems for a diverse mix of clients including healthcare, hospitality, government, higher education, retail, and manufacturing facilities. We are seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule interested in working 40-80 hours per month during normal business hours in the Pittsburgh, PA metro area and beyond.

About the role

• Take on-site readings via a testing instrument (chlorine, temperature, and pH readings)
• Collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures
• Travel within a 250-mile radius, expect 2-3 overnight travel nights per month
• Train to take on-site readings via a testing instrument (chlorine, temperature, and pH readings) and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures
• May include climbing stairs or ladders, and may require lifting up to 25 pounds
• May be expected to mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some college courses in Chemistry or Biology are a plus
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for at least two years are required

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Excellent communication abilities
• Basic computer skills

• Ability to walk around client sites
