About the role

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring Part-Time Valet Porters in the Herriman area. Shifts run 1–2 hours per evening, Monday through Friday, starting around 6:30 or 7:00 PM. No experience required. Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Walk your assigned apartment community each evening and collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents' doors.
• Transport everything to the onsite dumpster, chute, or compactor.
• Separate recycling, check for contamination, and clean up any loose trash around common areas.
• Check-in and check-out through a mobile app: document your route, upload photos, and leave courtesy notices when needed.
• Occasionally assist with pet waste station servicing.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday evenings only.
• Typical start time is 6:30 or 7:00 PM with shifts lasting 1–2 hours.
• Shift length may vary slightly based on resident participation, property size, or seasonal factors.
• No weekends required.
• Home by 10 PM.
• Start the same week you're hired.

Pay

• $20/hour at standard sites.
• $25/hour at sites that require use of a personal open-bed pickup truck.

Requirements

• An open-bed pickup truck is required for this position.
• Must be 18 or older with a valid Utah driver's license and auto insurance.
• A smartphone with an active data plan and location services is required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Reliable, professional, and self-motivated.

Physical Requirements

• Extensive walking throughout apartment communities.
• Ascending and descending stairs at some properties.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
