We are seeking part-time box office representatives to process ticket sales, exchanges, subscriptions, and donations in person and by telephone at the Theater Square Box Office location. These individuals will interact with Cultural District patrons, members, and donors, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining knowledge of performances throughout the Cultural District.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest level of face-to-face customer service and support to patrons at the box offices and on the telephone.
- Staff box offices at Pittsburgh Cultural Trust owned or operated venues, including Theater Square, Benedum Center, Byham Theater, and O’Reilly Theater.
- Fulfill company orders, VIP requests, comp ticket offers, and process Member and Sponsor requests in collaboration with Development and Marketing.
- Handle customer ticketing requests via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Oversee and fulfill special promotional offers in coordination with Guest Services management.
- Staff venue Guest Services areas and resolve patron seating issues prior to and during performances with House Management.
- Communicate current and accurate information to patrons concerning performances and ticket policies.
- Assist with processing single ticket and subscription phone sales as needed.
- Maintain accurate patron information in the ticketing database.

- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, telemarketing, or retail environment.
- Experience dealing with the public in a face-to-face manner required.
- Cash-handling experience and familiarity with ticketing systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, outstanding communication, problem-solving, and diplomacy.
- Able to maintain a calm demeanor and work effectively in a fast-paced and hectic environment.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable handling cash on a regular basis.
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Pay
$18.12/hour (starting wage).
Schedule

Physical Demands
- Mainly office work; occasional lifting up to 20-30 lbs. may be required.
- Able to sit and/or view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
