About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part-Time Telephone Operator - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will provide service for telephone communications and code/trauma conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate communications system telephone switchboard
- Contact all hospital personnel in emergency situations
- Maintain code book
- Maintain telephone database
- Interact appropriately with different levels of management
- Page trauma groups
- Announce over head emergency calls
- Follow fire alarm emergency procedures
- Answer emergency elevator calls
- Follow specific procedures for Code Trauma Condition
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Two years of telephone experience in healthcare, a hotel, or a large institutional environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Pay
The salary range for the role is $25.66 - $25.66 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
