Part-Time Teacher's Aide - St. Anastasia School - Vic. I

Responsibilities

• On campus from 7:45am-3:15pm
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for young children
• Interact and engage with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Absorb and implement lesson plans
• Engage students in activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Effectively communicate with students using developmentally appropriate language
• Support lead teacher with preferred classroom management and discipline strategies
• Support the Catholic faith, i.e. classroom prayers, events, stories, etc.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Follow schedules and routines set by the Lead Teacher, Principal & Assistant Principal
• Lead and supervise children during lunch and recess
• Maintain the health and safety of all students, i.e. cleaning classroom materials and spaces
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
• Provide a solution-orientated positive approach
• Attend faculty meetings as requested by supervisor
• Attend Back to School Night
• Attend Catechetical Sunday Mass
• Attend Catholic Schools Weeks Mass and Open House

  Pay

  This position has an hourly range of $15.00 - $20.00. An employee’s pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
