Teacher Aide - Part Time

About the role

Shaping the lives of little ones is what we do at UCP Heartland's Child Development Center. College Students in Early Education Courses are Encouraged to Apply. PART TIME TEACHER'S AIDE Monday - Friday | 2:00 pm - 6 pm (20 Hours Weekly). We help grow little people into thriving, socializing children! We encourage them to play, listen, count, learn their ABC's and teach them all about friendship and how to be a friend. We prepare them for kindergarten and all the things that start their journey to the learning world. But most of all, they have fun and soak up everything they are taught. At UCP Heartland, our mission is to provide people with differing abilities the extraordinary care and support needed to thrive in school, at home, at work, and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher
• Help in the classroom with therapists and developmental activities
• Actively participate and assist with Parent-Teacher conferences
• Help create and maintain a healthy environment that fosters children's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development, respecting each child's dignity and contribution
• Set goals and document children's goals in the classroom

Requirements

• Valid driver license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with children
• College students in Early Education courses are encouraged to apply
