Part-Time Teachers Aide

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys helping young children learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing environment. Working alongside our Lead Teachers, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and enriching classroom for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, encouraging their curiosity, creativity, social-emotional growth, and language development through daily activities and play-based learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lead Teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and routines.
  • Aid in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, play, meals, and transitions.
  • Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and language development.
  • Build collaborative relationships with teachers, staff, and families to support each child's success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Pay

$16-17.75 per hour RFK Community Alliance Child Development Center

Schedule

Part-Time – 22.5 hours per week
Shifts are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
