Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker
About the role
ALDI is seeking enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers. Cashiers will provide efficient checkout service, while stockers will help keep shelves stocked and organized.Duties and Responsibilities
- Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management.
- Affords assistance to store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
- Complies with all company policies and processes.
- Supports store management in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintains store zones and merchandising standards.
- Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
- Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Cashier Responsibilities
- Utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases.
- Follows cash policies and procedures.
- Opens additional check lanes as required to ensure efficient checkout.
- Completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery.
Stocker Responsibilities
- Stocks shelves and displays neatly while adhering to merchandising planograms.
- Stockers must be available to work as early as 5:00 AM.
Physical Demands
- Push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
- Lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
- Operate equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
- Stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
- Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Ability to operate all store equipment.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Reliable and prompt attendance.
- Meet availability requirements.
Education and Experience
- At least 18 years old required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
