About the role
ALDI is seeking enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers. Cashiers will provide efficient checkout service, while stockers will help keep shelves stocked and organized.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
- Aid in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
- Comply with all company policies and processes.
- Support a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain store zones and merchandising standards.
- Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
- Cashier Responsibilities:
- Accurately scan and process customer purchases using the POS system.
- Inform store management of scanning concerns or errors.
- Follow cash policies and procedures.
- Open additional check lanes as required.
- Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
- Arrive early to assist with early morning stocking tasks.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Pay attention to detail and organize tasks to maximize productivity.
- Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
- Meet availability requirements.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.

Pay
- Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour.
- Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50.
Schedule
- Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week.
