About the role

This role involves working with students to assess and treat communication disorders affecting speech, language, cognition, and swallowing, in collaboration with the IEP team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to identify communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic programs tailored to student needs.
  • Assist teachers and families in supporting student communication development.
  • Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines.
  • Participate in school activities and maintain materials and documentation.
  • Serve as a resource and guide staff in addressing communication challenges.
  • Maintain confidential records in accordance with professional and district standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, aligned with district policies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Commitment to professional growth and adherence to professional standards.

Skills

  • Effective communication with students, staff, and community organizations.
  • Collaboration with the IEP team and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and adapt to varying physical demands (e.g., prolonged sitting/standing, occasional lifting).

Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a resource for staff and guiding interventions.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential records.
