About the role
The General Service Technician performs non-technical automotive tasks such as oil changes, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and light vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Documenting vehicle conditions using inspection and repair orders
- Maintaining shop cleanliness
- Driving vehicles safely for customer transport, parts pickup, and vendor deliveries
- Adhering to safety procedures
- Following company policies
- Working flexible schedules, including Saturdays
- Performing tire services (mounting/dismounting, balancing)
- Conducting oil changes
- Performing vehicle inspections
- Shop upkeep
- Ensuring safety compliance
- Communicating with customers
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 70 pounds, and have good vision
