About the role
The General Service Technician performs non-technical automotive repairs, including oil changes, tire services, and basic maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Driving customers
- Picking up parts
- Maintaining shop cleanliness
- Conducting safety and emission inspections
- Documenting vehicle conditions using inspection tools
- Operating vehicles safely
- Following safety procedures
- Adhering to company policies
Qualifications
- Able to work a minimum of five days weekly
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Prior automotive experience or a passion for cars
- Demonstrate motivation
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Physical capability to stand, bend, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform repetitive motions
Skills & Duties
- Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, oil changes, and basic services
- Utilize inspection and repair documentation
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Drive vehicles safely obeying traffic laws
- Conduct safety and emissions tests as applicable
- Follow safety protocols while reporting concerns
Work Conditions
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials, with varying temperatures
- PPE may be required
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting
